So we finally got the car back to the house. My dad and Arthur started changing the rear suspension parts after work. I got off a little early my self too, helped them out and stuff.
as it turns out, the rear struts were blown! the car was just dumping the rear every time it tries to drift which instead of having a smooth flow it just grips and pushes the car forward. Jason was able to get some TRD shocks and rear springs, hopefully this solves the issue.
We also took out the broken hood and driver side headlights. We needed to have a working head lights because it will be a night event.
My dad also fixed the alignment and ride height on the front suspension, the car was just looking crooked (sp). its been a while since my dad really looked at this car. We are almost ready for the event.
Jason came in @ 4:30am friday. I didnt realize he was brought a lot of tires! crazy, this guy will be running his ass off this weekend. I just hope the car survives to anything. Also hoping for a good finish, overall he should have fun with the car. Goodluck Jason.

The corolla is out again! picked it up last night from the storage. Gotta get it ready for Jason Aquino so he can compete for the Vegas ProAm event this weekend. My dad will still do some adjustments and some parts replacement. Good thing that the event will be 2 days so Jason will have some seat time and adjustments for the car.
Kept the old windshield sticker from the 2008 Nellis AFB VDXX event. its an inside joke for me and Jason because of the Maverick and Goose tandem…
“you can always be my wingman” – and the hachi says…
hopefully the car doesnt give us any major problems and im hoping Jason will be able to adjust right away (im sure he will)
more updates will be posted soon!
its on! sched finalized and round 2 in 2 weeks! get your game on! night drift events. Friday night open practice and saturday night round 2 of vegas PROAM series.
be there or be square!
JD Night Event – 2 days @ Balcony
another installment of the JD night sessions and sunday all day drift open practice.
summer has officially started in vegas, so it means slow season for justdrift and vegasdrift. its the perfect timing for people to actually start fixing their cars or at least take a break. for the last 3-4 years i think it has been breaks for me… at least this summer i will be re-doing and fixing bomac and my dads car.

Bomac in the garage with my dad also giving me hand as always.
I have finally decided to retire my kit… and im excited to say that bomac will no longer be green when it hits the tracks in a couple months… im really hoping i’ll be done by ASB which is next month… but we shall see. so far this weekend was the start of the tear down.

its crazy how all this aero parts belonged to one car. most of them are really struggling to stay together like the front and rear bumpers. nothing is really left to salvage but the side skirts. I will do my best to find someone who can repair the 1/4 panel wide body kit… i really liked those pair that i got used from Charlie like 2-3 years ago. its really strong and made by carbon fiber.

Front end shot, all of them out! Since it will be easy access like this I will also be doing some crazy engine wash! next week of course.

Thats Bomac with all aero uninstalled. look a lot smaller and sad being naked… but its ok, its for the better.
Things to be done:
*Repair the damages on the right 1/4 panel
*Replace Tail Light
*Clean inside and out, including engine bay
*New kit
*Paint
*New Headlight assembly
Thats pretty much it… it doesn’t really look a lot and hard… seems like it can be done in one weekend… even a day. But i’ll be taking my time and since its getting really hot (110 degrees this weekend) I can only do work in the AM and before it gets dark.
now, moving on to other projects…
me and my dad also fixed/replaced some parts of his s13.

Replaced my dads taillights! got him a set of kouki tails (type X) for his bday! haha. i couldnt think of any gift for him this year so i got this. i got a really good deal from an old local friend. my dad is pretty happy with it.

we also replaced his 1/4 panel. i wasn’t really happy with those 30mm widebody… so we ended up getting another set from Dmax this time. Looked weird but i think it came out clean. The widebody doesn’t go all the way wrapping around the whole 1/4 panel… it was kind of tricky to install this but we somehow did a great job. (i think) those type-x lights are really awesome… now im appreciating the hatchbacks! no hate guys! i just <3 coupes.

just perfect in my taste! flush! have to adjust the ride height and the fitment of the side skirts and rear bumpers.
now we just have to make everything fit and flush. and hopefully by this week my dads car can go to the paint shop. havnt decided on what color yet, but it will be most likely something dark. i’ll post some pics when its done… im excited!
Thanks for visiting! until the next update! G’nite!
